Membership Desk Associate

The Henderson Family YMCA is seeking a friendly, dependable, and service-oriented individual to join our team as a Membership Desk Associate. This part-time role requires flexible scheduling and weekend availability. As a key front-line team member, you will provide outstanding customer service to current and prospective members, help with sales and inquiries, and support the welcoming environment that defines the Y.

Shifts / Availability: 

• Flexible weekday shift 5:00 am - 9:00 am including weekend availability.
• Flexible hours, including evenings and weekends

• Greet members, guests, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
• Provide accurate information about YMCA programs, services, and membership options
• Handle membership sales, registrations, and renewals
• Answer phones and respond to inquiries in a timely manner
• Resolve member concerns or direct them to the appropriate staff
• Maintain a clean and organized front desk area
• Perform light administrative tasks and use computer systems as needed

• High school diploma or equivalent
• CPR/AED and First Aid certifications (must be obtained within 30 days of hire)
• Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills
• Ability to connect and communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds
• Previous experience in customer service, sales, or a related field preferred
• Basic computer knowledge
• Residence within a 30-mile radius
